Empire Post Media Adds Veteran Filmmaker Brian Trenchard Smith to Production Team

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Empire Post Media, Inc. (OTCBB:EMPM) is pleased to announce that the company has added veteran filmmaker Brian Trenchard Smith to its production team. Director of 42 feature films and 40 television episodes, Directors Guild of America member Trenchard Smith is also an experienced writer and producer. In connection with Empire's previously announced 3D development fund, he will immediately step into a creative development consultant role on several new 3D projects the company intends to announce in the coming days.

Over the years, Trenchard Smith has been a specialist in action-adventure movies, including a half dozen with legendary Australian stunt man Grant Page of "Mad Dog Morgan" and the "Mad Max" films, which starred Mel Gibson. Trenchard Smith recently directed seven episodes of the new Cinemax television series, "Chemistry."   He also is a regular contributor to "Trailers from Hell" and other film-related blogs.

Trenchard Smith recently completed the Stereoscopic 3D Workshop at the Sony 3D Technology Center on the Sony Studios lot in Culver City, California, and will consult on all of Empire's 3D business.

"In addition to his many years of experience in the development and production of films and television programming, Brian also brings expertise in stereographic 3D filming," said Empire CEO Peter Dunn. "There aren't all that many working filmmakers with 42 directing credits so we're thrilled to have Brian on the Empire team."
