IDEA Public Schools Announces Plan to Hire for Sixty Positions

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 8, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IDEA Public Schools announced that they will hire for sixty positions to open IDEA Allan, an Austin ISD in-district charter school, for the 2012-2013 school year. Openings are available for teachers, professional staff and administrative staff.

The announcement was made at a meeting Tuesday evening for current Allan Elementary School staff. Matthew Randazzo, Chief Growth Officer for IDEA Public Schools, educated attendees on the proposed curriculum and vacancies that are available. He urged interested participants to begin the application process.

"We are excited to start the hiring process for IDEA Allan," said Randazzo. "IDEA's teachers and staff are the foundation for the great work that we do and we are ready to start building a great program and team for East Austin students."

Tuesday's meeting clarified the community misconception that Allan Elementary School staff would be left without a job due to this new partnership.

"AISD has guaranteed current Allan employees that they will be placed at a schoolwithin the district should they choose not to seek a position with IDEA Allan," clarified Randazzo. "Now that they have received all of the information about our program, we trust that they will make the best decision for them and their families."

IDEA Allan will open its doors in August of 2012. For more information about IDEA Public Schools or IDEA Allan contact Vanessa Segovia Barry, Senior Communications Manager, at (512) 657-5461 or vanessa.barry@ideapublicschools.org.
