Smart, Space-Saving Appliances Are Among Latest Kitchen Design Trends

Wine Storage units with security feature. Wine units can be synced to an alarm system to notify the security company of the temperature falls below a certain level. This new technology is available through Sub-Zero and Miele.

Steam ovens. Steam ovens and steam-enabled appliances are the latest tool for healthy cooking, with capabilities for cooking, re-heating and more. These popular ovens are offered by Miele, Thermador, Wolf and Gaggenau.

Remote vision. Remote vision appliances include refrigerators, dishwashers and washer/dryers that are connected to the Internet and can be monitored remotely; homeowners are notified immediately of problems. These appliances are ideal for snowbirds or vacation homes. Miele is the only brand that now offers this technology.
