A Soundtrack for Producer Chad A. Verdi and Peter Facinelli's Film "Loosies" Featuring American Idol Alumnus Paul McDonald Is in the Works; Film's DVD Sales Exceed 50 Thousand With a Redbox Release on 3/13/2012

EAST GREENWICH, RI--(Marketwire - Mar 12, 2012) - Verdi Productions and The Woodhaven Production Company proudly announce an update on their two feature films, Loosies and Infected. Loosies is being released tomorrow through Redbox, as DVD sales top 50 thousand buys to date. Due to the high volume in DVD sales and the film's release by Redbox, the company is now in the process of releasing a soundtrack with songs composed and performed by American Idol alumnus Paul McDonald.

Loosies, which was released theatrically earlier this year by IFC, tells the story of Bobby (Peter Facinelli), a NYC pickpocket passing as a Wall Street stockbroker who roams the city looking for marks. He must face reality when an old fling informs him she's pregnant, and the baby is his. Suddenly, two different worlds collide, forcing Bobby to reevaluate a lifetime of missteps, and make a big decision about his future.

The film stars Peter Facinelli (Twilight, Nurse Jackie, The Scorpion King), Jaimie Alexander (Thor, Rest Stop, Hallowed Ground), Vincent Gallo (Buffalo '66, The Brown Bunny, Tetro), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2), and Joe Pantoliano (Memento, The Matrix, The Fugitive). Facinelli is the screenwriter and a producer on the film (through his company Facinelli Films), alongside producers Chad A. Verdi, Noah Kraft, and Glenn Ciano. The film was directed by Michael Corrente (American Buffalo), with an original soundtrack composed and performed by Paul McDonald, an original score by Chad Fischer (Garden State), and music supervision by Michelle Verdi, head of music and talent for both Verdi Productions and the Woodhaven Production Company.

Verdi stated, "We've reached huge numbers in viewership and sales across all three of our films, and we are all very proud," adding, "I feel a soundtrack for Loosies will do very well in today's marketplace. Paul did such a great job for us."

This Halloween Verdi will be following up Loosies with his second horror film, "Infected" a zombie slasher, which features Michael Madsen (Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Reservoir Dogs) and William Forsythe as they battle zombies to the death. The film is currently being re-directed and edited for a release on Halloween 2012 and will come on the heels of the success of Verdi's "Inkubus," which will reach 100 million homes through NBC Universal VOD by May 21^st, 2012. The film has already sold more than 60 thousand DVDs in its first week alone and just reached #7 on Redbox rentals nationwide.
