Amika Mobile's award winning Amika Mobility Server (AMS) for critical and emergency alerting was used to evacuate Government of Canada buildings at Shirleys Bay Campus as security teams worked closely with first responders to ensure everyone's safety. Amika Mobile is constantly working to address new customer requirements and innovate.
Amika Mobile has partnered as a result with FieldServer Technologies to extend the reach of AMS physical security alerting in the enterprise. This integration allows automatic triggering of alerts from a myriad of fire, security, and building automation systems supported by FieldServer's gateway and protocol conversion products. The AMS is unique with its automatic discovery of wired and wireless devices avoiding the need to continuously update user contact information in databases and its integration with disparate enterprise physical security systems such as alarm panels, cameras, access control, etc.
"It is very exciting to be working with FieldServer Technologies given their vision and market leadership position in protocol conversion. This integration addresses the need that customers have expressed to us for physical system connectivity for critical and emergency alerting, and further differentiates Amika Mobile in the mass notification marketplace," stated Amika Mobile CEO Dr. Sue Abu-Hakima.
"FieldServer Technologies is proud to work with Amika Mobile. FieldServer's extensive library of building automation and fire alarm panel protocols provide Amika Mobile with the comprehensive solution needed to interconnect their mass notification solution with a vast array of devices." said Richard Theron, National Sales Director of FieldServer Technologies.
According to Gartner's January 2012 Market Scope report, emergency mass notification is now a Best Practice for the enterprise with a rapidly growing market - closing 2011 at $650 Million in the US with a projected penetration growth from 25% in the enterprise to 50% by 2015. Gartner also describes physical security as a key integration requirement for critical and emergency alerting.
Amika Mobile will be at ISC West Partner Booth # 11087 in Las Vegas, NV March 28-30th, 2012.
