FORT MCMURRAY, AB--(Marketwire - Mar 30, 2012) - NorthStar Ford Group of Fort McMurray will be presenting a $75,000 cheque over a three year period to Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society in support of the Stop the Hurting, Start the Healing campaign.
Marty Giles, owner of NorthStar Ford Group, was honoured to be able to donate to Family Crisis Society. "It is a privilege to be able to give back to the community of Fort McMurray and help the Stop the Hurting, Start the Healing campaign. Hopefully, our donation, together with others, will make a positive impact in the community and help the Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society continue their inspiring program," said Giles.
Family Crisis Society gives overall direction to a number of programs pertaining to issues of family violence and sexual assault. The Stop the Hurting, Start the Healing campaign created a goal to raise $50 million to fund the future expansion of the Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society, as their current location is consistently at 100 percent capacity.
