NEW YORK, April 2, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Express Scripts, Inc., the St. Louis-based provider of integrated pharmacy benefit-management services, will be added to The Global Dow, Dow Jones Indexes announced today.
The additions of Express Scripts to The Global Dow, and Celgene Corporation to the Dow Jones Health Care Titans 30 Index, follow the removal of Medco Health Solutions, Inc. from both indexes; Medco was acquired by Express Scripts in a deal that today received U.S. regulatory approval.
Both of the index revisions will be effective before the open of trading on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, said Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider.
The float-adjusted market capitalization of the reconstituted Global Dow increased to US$10.44 trillion from US$10.42 trillion as of April 2, 2012.
The Global Dow measures the performance of 150 stocks of companies that are established global leaders as well as those poised for future global leadership. Stocks in the index are equally weighted and are rebalanced annually in September. Component changes to The Global Dow are decided by the Averages Committee.

Headquartered in Summit, N.J., Celgene is an integrated global biopharmaceutical company engaged primarily in the discovery, development and commercialization of novel therapies for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases through gene and protein regulation.
Company additions to, and deletions from, The Global Dow and Dow Jones Health Care Titans 30 Index do not in any way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
