LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - Apr 26, 2012) - At a time when electronic dance music is dramatically impacting mainstream culture and commerce, Insomniac will launch the inaugural EDMbiz conference prior to Electric Daisy Carnival on June 8-10 in Las Vegas. The conference will be held June 5-7, as part of EDC Week, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Uniting industry leaders and pioneers with peripherally connected businesses and ambitious entrants, the conference will focus on moving EDM forward on a credible and prosperous path. EDMbiz will facilitate relevant discussion and debates focused on the most pertinent topics and issues specific to the scene including: best practices, social media, technology platforms, festivals, direct-to-fan relationships, licensing, branding, sponsorships, and sustaining community, humanity and credibility during a period of massive growth.
Jason Bentley, consummate tastemaker, tireless champion of new music and culture, and a globally respected DJ, will serve as the conference host.

The first round of speakers and special events will be announced on May 1 with subsequent announcements as more speakers and a variety of events are confirmed.
