BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - May 16, 2012) - ZYNC, the Visual Effects industry leader in integrated cloud rendering and storage technology, today announced that Todd Prives has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. Prives is responsible for leading ZYNC's strategic alliances with software providers and marketing their service to customers as the technology rolls-out on a global basis.
Previously Prives spent over ten years in a variety of strategic and customer-focused roles at GenArts, a leading provider of visual effects software to the film, video and broadcast industries. He has extensive experience initiating a variety of partnerships across a broad spectrum of host vendor platforms including Adobe, Apple, Autodesk, Avid, NVIDIA and The Foundry. In addition, he provided essential contributions in both a product management and sales role leading up to the company's acquisition in 2008 by private equity investors. Prives' extensive knowledge of visual effects software tools and user pipelines makes him an important connection to many industry-leading facilities including Hydraulx, Industrial Light & Magic and The Mill, among others.
"Throughout his career, Todd has developed strong relationships with key partners on both the software and end-user side," said Brian Drewes, ZYNC's Chief Executive Officer. "His vast experience in bringing high quality commercial VFX software tools to artists aligns perfectly with ZYNC's go-to-market plan in the coming months."
"I am tremendously excited to be joining the ZYNC team," Prives said. "Our cloud-based on-demand render platform is a game changer that will allow artists across many different visual effects disciplines to work quicker and more effectively with far less overhead than is traditionally required for rendering."
