SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwire - May 21, 2012) - vCom Solutions today announced the release of vManager® 4.2, a new version of its Telecom Expense Management (TEM) software.
With vCom, customers gain carrier-agnostic, wholesale buying power to reduce the price they pay for carrier services. vCom also gives its customers a simple, transparent view into all of their telecom services and activity through its cloud-based vManager application; customers receive a single bill for all services across the country. In addition to the vManager software, vCom also provides clients with a professional services team who are experts in each area of the telecom lifecycle.
The vManager 4.2 release provides four key enhancements:
- Electronic approval of service orders, expediting the procurement process and automating a manual process
- A "View-Only Access" security option, which allows the restriction of certain users to read-only access
- More flexibility in naming of locations to improve user efficiency
- A new "Contract History" feature that allows customers to view full contract history on a particular inventory item, including historical signed contracts.
The vManager software provides clients a consolidated view of their spend across all wireline and wireless services and carriers, and serves as a central repository of information to analyse and manage their telecom environment. "We use vManager to find out how and where we're spending money, and to allocate it back to our individual cost centers. We also use the analytics to see how we can further reduce our spend," says Mark Hanby, Senior Manager of IT for Workflow One, one of the largest providers of print management, marketing and distribution services in North America.
