WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Jun 12, 2012) - As part of GOVERNING's continued expansion and increased focus on key market segments within state and local government, GOVERNING, a division of e.Republic, has created two new associate publisher positions.
Account Director Erica Kraus has been promoted to Associate Publisher for Finance, while the company's VP of Strategic Initiatives, Marina Leight, will now serve as Associate Publisher for Infrastructure.
These promotions follow on the heels of other growth initiatives, including the launch of the in-house think tank, GOVERNING Institute. GOVERNING has also expanded its online daily news coverage over the last six months and has launched GOVERNING Data, the 2012 Election Center, and a multimedia section featuring photo galleries, online video and datagraphics.
e.Republic CEO Dennis McKenna says, "It's an exciting time to be at GOVERNING -- we're in growth mode and have put together an amazing team of people. Our associate publishers have a very deep knowledge of state and local government in their respective areas. They are uniquely positioned to make sure that GOVERNING is the best possible resource for state and local government leaders."
Prior to joining GOVERNING, Kraus worked with the Fenn Communication Group, where she oversaw the media buying department and worked with corporate, association and political clients. She's been with GOVERNING since September 2010.
Marina Leight has been with e.Republic for 15 years. For the last two years, she has worked closely with GOVERNING'S public sector advisory boards and private sector partners to ensure the high quality of GOVERNING events and integrated media initiatives.
Last month, the company announced the promotion of former associate publisher Erin Waters as Publisher of GOVERNING.
