NatureWorks Landscape Services Offers Environmentally Friendly Alternative to Combat Mosquitoes

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Aug 7, 2012) - NatureWorks Landscape Services announces today it is offering an environmentally friendly alternative to combat the potentially dangerous mosquitoes carrying the Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus.

This year the reports of mosquitoes carrying EEE have come earlier than expected. Typically these mosquitoes are found in New England in early to mid August but this year they were found in July. Over 21 communities in Southeastern Massachusetts have already received aerial pesticide sprayings to combat the mosquitoes that carry EEE.

NatureWorks carries a garlic-based product that is sprayed around the woodland border of a property to provide effective control for mosquitoes, ticks, fleas and other insects for up to a month. Another product they use for mosquito and pest control is an organic cedar oil-based spray.

"Our clients were looking for an alternative to the chemical sprays that are typically used to rid their yards of mosquitoes and other bugs," says Matt Gramer, President of NatureWorks Landscape Services. "We have found the garlic-based spray and cedar oil to be extremely effective. It makes it safe for pets and children to be in the yard without any fear of harmful effects."
