MUNDELEIN, Ill., Aug. 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Scripps Health, based in San Diego, Calif., selected Medline Industries, Inc. as its prime vendor distribution partner for medical and surgical supplies, Medline announced today. The three-year agreement for distribution services, which begins October 1, 2012, is expected to save the health system $20 million in supply cost reduction and through driving distribution system efficiencies over the term of the agreement.
Medline will distribute products directly to the health system's network of four hospitals and 23 ambulatory facilities throughout San Diego County from the company's San Bernardino distribution center, one of Medline's 34 distribution centers around the country.
