FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - Sep 4, 2012) - Search guru Brett Tabke, CEO of Webmasterworld and founder of PubCon, a premier social media and optimization conference, will discuss search engine optimization trends to watch and the impact of Google+ on search at this month's South Florida Interactive Marketing Association meeting. Tabke, a 30-year computer industry veteran, will share his views on where SEO is headed in the next five years, tablet and mobile computing, and the rapid proliferation of programmers on the planet. He will also offer specific SEO tips to improve the sites of micro-businesses, small-to-medium-sized companies and large enterprises.
"Business owners of any size know search engine optimization can be the key to getting found among millions of sites," said Joan Sparks, president of SFIMA. "SEO is the tool that can trump a larger marketing or IT budget, and help companies drive traffic to their site regardless of its size or their marketing budget."
Brett Tabke has run community networking sites since 1984. His fascination with the web spurred him to build websites and learn as much as possible about online traffic. He quickly became an expert and source of information for business contacts looking for ways to get better traffic from search engines. Tabke coined several SEO terms now widely recognized and used, including "Link Farm," "SEO Themes," and the classic "SERP" (Search Engine Results Page). He was featured in the Biography Channel special, "The Google Boys," and contributed to the best-selling book, Google Hacks.
The SFIMA event will take place Thursday, September 13 at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Dania Beach, Fla. Networking runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., followed by Tabke's talk until 8:30 p.m. The event is free for SFIMA members. Non-members pay $39 in advance, $49 at the door.
