EMGS Capital Markets Day

Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) is today, Wednesday 19 September 2012, hosting its Capital Markets Day (CMD) at Shippingklubben in Oslo, Norway.

EMGS has delivered substantial growth in revenues and EBITDA over the last two years as a result of large contract awards, excellent operational performance, technology improvements and enhanced customer adoption of its EM technology. This provides the company with a solid foundation to further grow the EM market.

"The technology introductions we are presenting today and the strategy we are implementing to expand the application of EM into new market segments clearly show that we are fully committed to building the company and retaining our position as the undisputed technology leader," says Roar Bekker, CEO of EMGS.

EMGS's scalable and asset-light business model enables the company to quickly respond to increased market demand in a profitable manner. The company does not own its vessels and has a combination of long-term and flexible, short-term charters. As additional vessel capacity is readily available, and the lead time for new equipment sets is only nine months, the company is ideally positioned to capitalise on market growth.

About EMGS
EMGS, the marine EM market leader, uses its proprietary electromagnetic (EM) technology to support oil and gas companies in their search for offshore hydrocarbons. EMGS supports each stage in the workflow, from survey design and data acquisition to processing and interpretation. The company's services enable integration of EM data with seismic and other geophysical and geological information to give explorationists a clearer and more complete understanding of the subsurface. This improves exploration efficiency, and reduces risks and the finding costs per barrel.

EMGS has conducted more than 650 surveys to improve drilling success rates across the world's mature and frontier offshore basins. The company operates on a worldwide basis with main offices in Trondheim, Stavanger and Oslo, Norway; Houston, USA; and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Please visit www.emgs.com for more information.
