Intergraph(R) CADWorx(R) & Analysis University 2012 Concludes, Setting Registration Records and Announcing New CADWorx and CAESAR II Initiatives

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2012) - Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis University 2012 (CAU2012) concluded its second and final day on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Houston, setting a record sellout in registrations for the global plant design and engineering conference for users of Intergraph CADWorx, CAESAR II®, and PV Elite® and with over 300 attending. Several of the 42 educational sessions were at capacity, with additional sessions added to accommodate the demand. The attendees also visited sponsored exhibit booths featuring products and services for the plant design and engineering analysis sectors.

The keynote presenters announced several achievements and initiatives. Patrick Holcomb, executive vice president of Global Business Development for Intergraph Process, Power & Marine (Intergraph PPM), reported that Intergraph continued as the world's No. 1 provider of engineering design tools and engineering design 3D software in 2011 as well as the top supplier to many industries, including chemical, mining and metals, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, and refining, as reported in the ARC Advisory Group's market analysis. Intergraph also ranked No. 1 in all three of its global regions. During his talk, Holcomb emphasized the advantages of the company's balanced global presence, with 32% coming from the Americas; 36% from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; and 32% from the Asia Pacific region. He also reported on the company's strong 2011 product growth, citing a 38% increase for CADWorx and a 22% increase for CAESAR II.

During the presentation by Rick Allen, president of Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions (Intergraph CAS) and senior vice president of Intergraph PPM, he announced the upcoming releases of the 64-bit CADWorx fieldPipe 2013 and PV Fabricator 2013 and the new CADWorx I&E software for intelligent instrumentation and electrical design and engineering, with an Early Adopter 50% discount offered through the end of 2012. He discussed the continuing expansion of integration between CAESAR II for pipe analysis with Intergraph SmartPlant® 3D solutions and new CAESAR II Japanese foreign language support, with later priorities to include Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, and Portuguese. Allen also reported that the new CAU Express 2012 one-day educational conferences achieved success with over 800 attending to date and with remaining 2012 events scheduled in Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, and Chile.
