FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - Oct 5, 2012) - AlphaStaff, one of the nation's leading Professional Employer Organizations and human resource outsourcing firms serving small and medium-sized businesses, is expanding its employment practices consulting and advisory services with the appointment of Carrie Cherveny as Vice President of Employment Practices. In this newly created role, Cherveny will develop programs to help clients manage the risk and compliance of employment law regulations and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
Prior to this position, Cherveny was a successful employment practices litigator as a partner in the West Palm Beach-based Schwarzberg & Associates law firm. Cherveny's experience defending organizations, along with her leadership roles at Humana, Sears Home Central, Marriott Health Care Services, Stainsafe and US Diagnostic, complement AlphaStaff's teams of skilled, certified HR professionals who deliver best practices consultation in the areas of human capital management, human resource compliance and workforce development to more than 1,500 clients nationwide.
"AlphaStaff's clients rely on us to help them successfully navigate the burdensome and ever-growing employment and health care reform regulations," said the company's Chief Executive Officer Neal Bibeau. "In today's environment, small and medium-sized businesses must remain focused on growth and taking care of their employees and customers, rather than keeping up with shifting regulatory and compliance issues. Carrie's HR leadership experience and litigation expertise are the foundation upon which we will expand our thought leader position and our HR consulting practice further. She will be instrumental in helping us continue to develop client- and regulation-driven solutions in this critical area."
Cherveny is a frequent speaker at Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) events, medical conferences and leadership conferences. Recently she served as SHRM's Federal Legislative Chair. Additionally, the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA), industry trade publications and local business journals often seek her input for articles on a variety of human resource and employment practices subjects.
