Beattie, the animal hospital has grown from a modest 1,000 sq. feet facility to its current, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital. As the hospital has expanded, the veterinary team has remained committed to high-quality customer service and compassionate pet care. The Brantford animal hospital 24-hour vet team is celebrating 60 years of service. Since the hospital's founding in 1952, the veterinary care team has focused on providing pet care to the Brantford, ON community.

The late veterinarian Dr. R. A. Beattie founded Beattie Animal Hospital in 1952. Over the years, the vet hospital has expanded from its original 1,000 sq. feet facility to accommodate the changing needs of patients and clients. Most recently, renovations took place from 2009 to 2010, which modernized the vet hospital. Today, the Brantford animal hospital is comprised of four main service areas: the pet hospital; separate cat and dog boarding facilities; pet grooming; and the pet store.
The pet hospital features state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical technology, including digital radiography, dental radiography, and a special room for ultrasound procedures. The surgical suite is also equipped with laser equipment for minimally invasive surgical procedures.
