Palm Springs, CA, Nov. 12, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- When the clock strikes midnight and the Veuve Clicquot corks are popped, Palm Springs will be ringing in the New Year with one of the most anticipated shows to ever hit the desert playground, "Fifty Shades of Dusque: An Erotic Musical Journey."
Kim & Jim Productions and Live It Up Productions have announced they will produce the Broadway-caliber, musical theatre revue on New Year's Eve, Monday, December 31st, at the exclusive Hotel Zoso in Downtown Palm Springs. Guests will be treated to dinner and drinks during the performance, and invited to the show's after-party featuring acclaimed DJ Lee Dyson, who will help guests ring in the New Year at an all-night disco.
"This is the most exquisite New Year's spectacular to ever hit Palm Springs," said Jim Casey Vice-Chair of Kim & Jim Productions. "Palm Springs natives and Desert guests will be treated to a full-scale, musical revue that depicts love and its entanglement of emotions."
The musical journey will be led by Live It Up Productions' Vice-Chair Tiffany Rathbun and CEO Trini Garza, musical director and choreographer. The duo, alongside Casey and Kim Waltrip, Vice-Chair of Kim & Jim Productions, named international supermodel and performer Tosh Yanez troupe master for the evening's event.
"Tosh exemplifies the larger-than-life presence we looked for when casting performers," said Garza, who hosted open auditions in Palm Springs and Los Angeles. "Every performer is responsible for transforming the Zoso stage into a world of fantasy, taking the audience out of Palm Springs and into the imaginary world of Dusque."
"Fifty Shades of Dusque: An Erotic Musical Journey," starts at 8pm with cocktail hour; performance time is 9pm, which will be followed by an after-party disco to ring in the New Year.
Tickets for the most awaited New Year's Eve party in the Coachella Valley are $175 for general admission which includes two drinks during cocktail hour, dinner and wine service during the performance, and an admission ticket to the after-party disco.
VIP tickets are $225 which includes premiere seating and bottle service during the performance as well as a VIP booth with bottle service during the after-party. Tickets to the after-party only are $75. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit Desert AIDS Project.
