To help kick start this resolution, Frank's Sauerkraut has published a unique new interpretation of the famous Dr. Oz Sauerkraut Salad as an easy to follow video recipe, developed by Master Chef Scott Foster of the Hazellewood Grill & Tap, Tonka Bay, MN.

Sauerkraut has long been recognized for its probiotic qualities; it's one of the best sources of "good" bacteria. According to WebMD, Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) contains the beneficial microbes leuconostoc, pediococcus, and lactobacillus; it's also loaded with immune-boosting vitamins that may help ward off infection.

"Dr. Oz points out that as an added bonus, sauerkraut can help you get rid of belly fat because of the way it's metabolized in our systems. So on top of being healthy, you can fulfill the number one New Year's resolution: losing weight," says Katie Smith, Marketing Manager of the Fremont Company, one of the country's oldest producers of sauerkraut: Frank's.

Frank's Sauerkraut Salad interpretation is one of the free, easy recipes in Frank's Master Chef recipe series, allowing consumers to make restaurant quality foods at home. This vegetarian recipe is part of a gluten free diet as well.
