NEW YORK, Jan. 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mary Beth Henson has been named the National Audubon Society's chief financial officer and a vice president of the organization. Henson will lead the venerable non-profit's finance team at a time of exceptional growth and initiative.

With total revenues in 2012 of $89.9 million, Audubon is one of the nation's largest and oldest conservation organizations. Henson comes to Audubon after serving from 2008 as vice president, finance for City Harvest. Prior to that, she had a 19-year career in investment banking and treasury operations at Merrill Lynch and Chase. Henson earned a BA from the University of Virginia and an MBA from New York University, and also serves as a volunteer director for Immigration Equality, a national organization that works to end discrimination in U.S. immigration law.
