SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Apr 5, 2013) - Four deserving mothers will receive the gift of sight for free this Mother's Day from The Eye Institute of Utah. LASIK, PRK or ICL vision correction will be awarded to mothers whose names and stories are submitted by loved ones on the Eye Institute website, theeyeinstitute.com, and The Eye Institute of Utah Facebook page.
"Mothers are the fabric that holds our community together," says Dr. Darcy Wolsey, Cornea and Refractive Specialist at The Eye Institute of Utah. "They sacrifice their own time and resources for the good of their family and friends. We are honored that we can give back to them and it's our way of saying 'thank you' for a job well done."
The Eye Institute will select four deserving mothers from hundreds of applicants. The finalists will be invited to The Eye Institute for an exam and screening to make sure they are candidates for LASIK. On Friday, May 10, 2013, the four mothers will receive LASIK, PRK or ICL surgery at no charge. These procedures are valued between $2,195 per eye and $3,200 per eye, depending on which procedure is the best match for each mother. Surgeries will be performed at The Eye Institute of Utah located at 755 East 3900 South in Salt Lake City, Utah. The mothers will be available for interview immediately before their procedures.
"Winning the Mother's Day LASIK giveaway changed my life! After wearing contacts and glasses for 22 years, I cannot express the excitement I have every day when I wake up and open my eyes and I can see the clock clearly," said Celeste Schiess, a winner of The Eye Institute's 2012 Mother's Day LASIK giveaway. "The staff at the Eye Institute of Utah and my wonderful husband gave me the best gift I have ever received, and that is the gift of sight!"
These procedures will be performed with the very best technology available for vision correction. The Eye Institute of Utah has one of only a few IFS IntraLase® and ALLEGRETTO WAVE™ Excimer Laser Systems in Utah. These lasers are acclaimed throughout the industry for superior results in restoring vision. Contact Helen Sikes for additional information or to schedule an interview with one of the selected mothers.
