LOS ANGELES, CA and LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Apr 9, 2013) - Digital connectivity solutions provider Gefen LLC today announced the release of a comprehensive conference room automation package that simplifies interaction and control of A/V technology and lighting in conference rooms, meeting rooms and training rooms by centralizing all features into a Web interface accessible through Smartphone, tablet or Web browser. The GAVA (Gefen Audio/Video Automation) conference room package is also compatible with the Gefen product portfolio, making it a versatile fit for various settings, ranging from the professional broadcast facility to the home.
The GAVA conference room automation solution rides on an existing LAN network and revolutionizes the way corporations conduct business meetings. Participants can easily integrate their own devices into the conference room system, allowing them full control of digital media sources, video displays, presentation laptops, volume and source selection for sound systems along with switching between multiple displays and much more. The inclusion of the Lutron lighting system allows customizable and repeatable lighting scenes.
The GAVA Conference Room Packages include the award-winning Gefen Audio/Video Automation System Processor (GAVA), Gefen's Professional Automation Control System (PACS), Gefen A/V Conference Room Processor, GefenTV 4x1 switcher for HDMI, two GefenTV Conference Room Speakers and a Lutron GRAFIK® Eye QS with a QS Ethernet and RS-232 Control interface.
The Gefen packages are available through Gefen distributors. In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, complete packages including the Lutron GRAFIK Eye QS are available immediately through Gefen Europe GmbH EMEA. In the near future, similar packages will be available in the USA through Gefen LLC.
How it Works
The GAVA serves as the unifying GUI interface with its integrated HTML5 Web Server and Linux processor. This new system works in conjunction with the Gefen PACS (Professional Automation Control System) to control all key A/V features in a home or commercial environment, as well as automation for lighting, window shades and more. The PACS allows IP control of devices from any Web-enabled device.
The Lutron GRAFIK Eye QS is a customizable preset lighting control system that adjusts lights and shades. GRAFIK Eye QS is energy efficient and enables control of up to six groups of lighting zones and three zones of Sivoia® QS shades and drapery tracks. It can control a variety of load types, including LED, fluorescent and halogen, and seamlessly integrates with lighting fixtures that are Lutron EcoSystem® compatible. GAVA communicates with the GRAFIK Eye QS interface via either RS-232 or via Ethernet.
The Gefen A/V Conference Room Processor allows selection from multiple A/V sources typically found in a meeting room, converting and scaling digital and analog A/V sources to HDMI, along with Dolby Digital audio decoding and processing. It works seamlessly with Gefen's professional and consumer A/V products that are widely used in the broadcast industry. For Additional inputs GAVA enables easy expansion by using the Gefen line of AV switcher products.
