According to the court documents related to the matter, the plaintiff was in his vehicle on January 16, 2012 in Clark County, Nevada. At that time, he was allegedly hit from behind by a semi-truck that was owned by the defendant employer and being driven by the defendant employee. The plaintiff was stopped and was allegedly hit from behind by the truck that was being driven by the defendant employee. 

The court documents alleged that the defendant employee failed to pay attention to the road at the time of the accident and that the defendant employee was negligent by making an unsafe turn out of a private driveway. The documents further allege that these failures are what led to the crash in question and that this crash is what led to the plaintiff's injuries. 

Finally, the court documents alleged that the plaintiff suffered serious neck and back injuries as a result of the crash that required and that continue to require ongoing medical attention and treatment. The court documents stated that as a result of the accident, the plaintiff suffered several forms of loss that include medical costs, lost income, pain and suffering and other financial losses. 

Rather than fully litigate the matter, the defendants were able to successfully negotiate an out-of-court settlement with the Las Vegas injury attorneys at Bernstein & Poisson. The amount of the settlement was $165,000.00, and the matter is now considered closed by all of the parties involved.
