Two additional models have just been added. Both employ a load cell based, closed loop force feedback system with automatic load setting to perform Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, or Brinell hardness testing procedures. The FH-30 is distinguished by a full-color, multi-function, OLED display. The FH-31 uses a 6.5", full-color, industrial LCD touchscreen and has an MS Windows embedded operating system, wireless mouse and keyboard, and connectivity choices that include USB (3x), RJ45-LAN, W-LAN (optional), Wi-Fi onboard (optional), and Bluetooth (optional).
These two testers have a rigid, precision cast, main body, a standard work piece clamping attachment with a precision spindle that allows large test pieces to be accommodated, and an external Brinell microscope. The load application system avoids "overshoot" during testing and guarantees one of the best GR&R results ever soon on Rockwell/Brinell hardness testers in this class. Go/No Go functionality delivers visual and acoustic warnings. Both units meet or exceed applicable ISO, ASTM, and JIS standards. Test forces range from 2.5 kgf to 187.5 kgf, depending on individual model.
The new hardness testing line from Tinius Olsen is comprehensive in scope, offering bench top, floor, and portable models that cover Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell, and Universal hardness testing procedures. Many options and certified indenters and hardness test blocks are available.
