MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Presents "It takes more than just Big Data -- Evolving Solutions for Pharma and Healthcare"

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwired - Apr 29, 2013) -  The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will host an Innovation Series Event, "It takes more than just Big Data -- Evolving Solutions for Pharma and Healthcare," on Monday, May 13, 2013.

The increased presence of Big Data and associated measurement technologies can be seen across all industry sectors. In the Pharma and healthcare sectors these new innovations, such as large scale measurements of biological state, smart phone/miniature sensor based measurements and remote monitoring of patients, have the potential to greatly improve patient care. Innovators are now chartered with addressing critical needs and are faced with the decision of how to create platforms and leverage technologies that will remain valuable throughout the long product development and evolution cycles.

At this event, a panel of experts in innovation will tackle the complexities of implementing new technologies and driving innovation in Pharma and healthcare. Panelists will discuss key opportunities and changes that transformative technologies can bring to Pharma and healthcare operations and thus improve overall patient care. Additionally, the panel will shed light on the key problems that must be addressed in adoption and utilization and how innovators can best position themselves in this market as it matures over a long development process and required evolution cycles.
