MacAulay-Brown, Inc. to Demonstrate Innovative Energy Conversion Technology at SOFIC Conference

Company Also Spotlights its Significant Experience Providing Technology-based Solutions to the Special Operations Community

DAYTON, Ohio, May 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it will demonstrate a prototype of its Power Reaper™ Energy Conversion Technology (ECT) at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC). The event will be held at the Tampa Convention Center, May 14-16.

Due to the dynamic mobility requirements and special reconnaissance missions performed by the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community, the size and weight of equipment is critical to operational success. About the size of a mobile phone, Power Reaper significantly decreases the number of batteries needed to deploy and operate. Simple to use, an operator easily connects the product to a potential power source, e.g., a standard issue CamelBak hydration pack, vehicle engine, MRE heater, etc. Utilizing Power Reaper's patented DC to DC boost converter, batteries, handheld devices, etc. are recharged while not in use.

"Since its inception, SOF has relied on innovative engineering and technical solutions to increase the success of its incredibly difficult mission," said Sid Fuchs, President and CEO of MacB. "Power Reaper significantly reduces the number of batteries operators will be required to carry; thereby increasing space for critical items like food, water, ammo and additional gear."

In addition to demonstrating Power Reaper, MacB will be highlighting its partnership with the SOF community. Senior executives will be discussing the company's experience providing technology solutions to Army and Air Force Special Operations.
