BACE Revolutionizes Paper Recycling With the Introduction of Its Export Baler

The Export Baler Produces Sea-Worthy Bales at Less Cost, in Less Space Than Horizontal Balers

CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - May 21, 2013) - BACE, a global manufacturer of balers and compactors for the recycling industry, has introduced the Export Baler. The Export Baler produces horizontal bales for a fraction of the cost, in a fraction of the space as horizontal balers. Its bales require no re-baling -- reducing time, cost, and truck transportation (including drivers, trucks fuel, and re-baling labor) -- because they're the exact size and weight required for transoceanic shipping -- no stops at a re-baling plant, no needless, redundant transport.

"It's no exaggeration to say this is a game-changer," said Fred Waite, Chairman of BACE. "Cost, time, fuel, trucks, exhaust, re-baling plants, and pick-up readiness are all about to be subtracted from the recycling equation. An industry that's been stagnant for a very long time is about to be changed dramatically for the better -- and to leap from 19th-century technology to 21st."

With the footprint and price-point of a standard vertical baler, the Export Baler produces a bale that is 60"x30"x45". Since each bale weighs 1,250 pounds, the weight of 44 such bales equals 55,000 pounds, the maximum weight allowable for sea containers. In addition, the Export Baler allows cardboard boxes to be loaded into the baler without breaking them down, allowing compression to fill all the available space to provide maximum density and weight. The Export Baler also performs best with the use of PET recyclable strapping, which minimizes bale expansion, making it easier to maintain the optimal dimensions for overseas containers.
