DELRAY BEACH, FL, July 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The TreadRight Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation established by The Travel Corporation, and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises proudly announces their joint support of the WHOLE WORLD Water campaign.
Uniworld is the newest member in the global WHOLE WORLD Water program. This joint endeavor with TreadRight once again demonstrates Uniworld's commitment to the sustainable development of tourism and support for the communities it explores.
Uniworld will contribute $1 per guest to WHOLE WORLD Water, 100% of which goes to establish much-needed funds for community water projects around the world. Uniworld will also work closely with WHOLE WORLD Water to identify key areas in South East Asia where clean drinking water projects are needed.
Launched in early 2013, WHOLE WORLD Water was developed to provide clean and safe drinking water to almost 1 billion people currently in need. The campaign also works to address the environmental risk of the tourism industry's use of plastic, single-use water bottles.

The WHOLE WORLD Water campaign also seeks to reduce plastic bottle wastage by creating an exclusive reusable glass bottle designed by world renowned designer, Yves Behar, only available to members. Hotels, resorts and bars are required to filter, bottle and distribute its own water in reusable glass bottles, donating a percentage of its profits to the WHOLE WORLD Water. 100% of the donated funds go to clean drinking water projects worldwide.
All-inclusive hotels, resorts and spas can instead pledge to donate $1 per guest or customer to the Fund.
This is the second project which The TreadRight Foundation and Uniworld are supporting since the foundation was established. Uniworld's partnership with WHOLE WORLD Water commenced in July 2013 and will be effective immediately.
