New Jersey Cosmetic Dentist Receives Prestigious Award for Dental Excellence

FAIRFIELD, NJ--(Marketwired - Jul 30, 2013) - Dr. Jerry Strauss, a general and cosmetic dentist in New Jersey, recently attended the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Annual Meeting and Exhibits, where he received the 2013 Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR). This award highlights his dedication to patient care and continued education in the dentistry field. Dr. Strauss says he is excited to be given such an honor, as he strives to offer comfortable and state-of-the-art dental solutions at his practice.

The Academy of General Dentistry is the second largest dental association in the U.S., with more than 37,000 general dentist members. The organization encourages members to stay current in the dental field and act as a leader in their communities by providing awards to those who have demonstrated dental excellence. As a member of the elite group, Dr. Strauss says he focuses on philanthropy and growing as a professional. Having done so, he has achieved an award with extensive requirements.

As noted in a recent blog post on Dr. Strauss' website entitled, "Dr. Jerry Strauss Receives Award for Dedication to the Field of Dentistry," the Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition is offered to AGD members who have also received the AGD Mastership Award, which Dr. Strauss merited in 2007. Fewer than 1% of dentists have ever earned this recognition. The LLSR, on the other hand, has a more comprehensive list of qualifications, including 1600 hours of continued education and 100 hours of dentistry-related community or volunteer service. Fewer than 250 dentists worldwide have ever achieved LLSR standing.

Since joining the field of dentistry more than 30 years ago, Dr. Strauss has received thorough training in such areas as restorative, cosmetic, and sedation dentistry. He says he continues to pursue learning opportunities and strives to act as a mentor to his fellow dental professionals.
