GlyEco Announces Results of Annual Stockholder Meeting


PHOENIX, Aug. 2, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sustainable glycol technologies leader GlyEco, Inc. (OTCQB:GLYE) ("GlyEco" or the "Company") held its 2013 Annual Meeting of Stockholders on July 29 in Tempe, Arizona.

During the meeting, stockholders elected John Lorenz, Michael Jaap, Joseph Ioia, Rick Opler, and Keri Smith as directors of the Company. Mr. Opler and Ms. Smith are new additions to the board of directors.

Rick Opler has worked in real estate development since 1998. Previously, he held careers as a commercial real estate agent, VP of Finance for a technology startup firm, and VP of a business consulting and venture capital firm. He has served as a director at multiple companies. Mr. Opler holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University and a master's degree in business from the University of Chicago.

Keri Smith has 25 years of experience in securities services, during which she has occupied many significant operational and management positions. Ms. Smith served as the Executive Director of the WSS, Global Fund Services Division for JPMorgan Chase, Boston and JPMorgan Chase, London. Prior to this, she was the Global Head/Director of Worldwide Network Management for RBC Dexia Investor Services, London, and the Global Network Management of Investors Bank & Trust Company. Ms. Smith holds a bachelor's degree from the Rhode Island College for Teaching.
