The 83,000 square foot facility will be featured on 30 acres adjacent to Interstate 4 in Dover, Florida. The General RV super center will feature an RV service center, as well as a parts and sales show room. General RV will bring approximately 70 new jobs to the area. Construction is scheduled to begin soon with expected completion in fall 2014.
The Michigan RV industry is once again booming with 2012 towable sales up 14 percent and total industry sales up 14 percent over 2011. According to Statistical Surveys Inc., through the first five months of 2013, the total RV shipments across the country reached 144,015 units, up 13 percent in comparison to the same period last year. General RV continues to build on this momentum in Tampa with their newest location.
