OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 29, 2013) - The Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) has released its new report: R&D and Innovation in the Canadian Transit Industry.

The report is the first thorough analysis of its kind, summarizing R&D activities and investments that play a key role in transit's success, and transit's contribution as an economic driver.

It also investigates the efficiency of government funding and support programs for transit-related R&D, and recommends ways for governments to better support and foster transit innovation.

"It is a valuable piece of guidance for strategic discussions and future action in funding, collaboration and innovation" explains Michael Roschlau, CUTA President and CEO.
