MAHWAH, N.J., Nov. 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware® (Nasdaq:RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, today announced it has launched its next generation Application Delivery Controller (ADC), Alteon® NG. An industry-only ADC built from the ground up to ensure application SLA.
As typical legacy ADCs offer a "best effort" approach and cannot assure application SLA, Radware's Alteon NG can provide full application SLA assurance by offering dedicated ADC virtual instance (vADC) per app/service, complete isolation between instances which will not impact neighboring application performance, "on-demand" scaling up with no hardware modifications and best-in-class application acceleration features and an innovative security offering.
The Alteon NG also provides real-time tracking of application SLA and can measure real user transactions including errors through application SLA monitoring with application performance monitoring (APM). This capability of Alteon NG permits the quick detection of performance problems across the network and the data center to pinpoint SLA issues.
Major Australian fashion retailer, The Just Group, deployed Radware's Alteon NG, with a goal to improve web application performance and deliver a better SLA compared to their previous ADC. Headquartered in Richmond, Australia, The Just Group has over 100 million monthly page visits to the websites of its seven brands, which are available on both desktop and mobile devices. Although they enjoy a healthy amount of visitors, customers were experiencing more than ten seconds of load time while accessing their pages.
"As a leading fashion retailer that relies on a steady stream of web traffic, the performance on our website is of paramount importance," says Frank De Sa, IT General Manger of The Just Group. "Since deploying each of our brand's websites on separate vADCs using Radware's FastView™ technology, the Alteon NG not only improved the performance of our websites, it has reduced the average page load time by over 30 percent."
After successfully deploying Radware's Alteon and FastView technology, The Just Group plans to continue its partnership and add additional Radware solutions, to provide even better SLA assurance and tighter security to its applications.
Unlike alternative ADC platforms where a different platform is needed per throughput requirement, the Alteon NG helps enterprises save on future capital expenditures for ADC solutions by eliminating costly forklift upgrades.
