BATESVILLE, Ark., Nov. 15, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and First Community Bank at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013, as they award two $10,000 Partnership Grant Program (PGP) awards to local Batesville, Arkansas, nonprofits.
Hill Haven Manor, Inc., a senior residential center, will use the grants for soft costs associated with engineering services to remodel its existing units to allow for the installation of stackable washers and dryers. Family Violence Prevention, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to providing services for victims of violence, plans to use the PGP funds to assist with upkeep and deferred maintenance on its local facilities.
FHLB Dallas awarded $225,000 in grants through its PGP this year. The grants provide funding for the operational needs of community-based organizations involved in affordable housing and community development.
