OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 27, 2014) - Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) invites the Media to join a ribbon cutting ceremony for the innovative Tour for Humanity mobile Tolerance Education Center to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Parliament Hill.
FSWC, in partnership with Tim Uppal, Minister of State (Multiculturalism), will be joined by a host of MPS, ambassadors, a Holocaust survivor and members of the Ottawa community in recognition of this significant date, which marks the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp in which more than one million people were killed.
The Tour for Humanity (www.tourforhumanity.com), designed to educate schools and communities about the Holocaust, genocide and heroes, and to counter hate with the values of tolerance, justice and human rights, has a particular and profound significance for Holocaust remembrance. We hope you will join us. If you would like a tour of the Tour for Humanity, or if you would like to join one of the school groups attending a program on the bus after the ribbon cutting ceremony, please contact Stacey Starkman (see contact information below).
