SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - Jan 30, 2014) - Beamz Interactive, Inc. (
Held every January in Orlando, the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) Conference provides a forum for assistive technology education and communication to educators and practitioners serving those with disabilities. Beamz will be demonstrating its Beamz Interactive Music System, which is currently used in hundreds of special education classrooms, pull-out rooms and OT and PT settings to teach skills including cause and effect, directionality, sequencing, fine and gross motor skills, common core subjects and more. The universal design of Beamz gives students of any cognitive or physical ability instant access to hundreds of musical instruments and songs from every genre. Adaptive peripherals such as switches and keyboards, as well as interactive whiteboards and touch screen devices can be used to provide just the right amount of support for every learner or therapy recipient.
"Hosting some of the biggest names and companies in assistive technology, ATIA 2014 is a great event to exhibit our Beamz hardware with our partner Technology for Education," said Charlie Mollo, CEO of Beamz Interactive. "Whether using our interactive music system during physical therapy, in hospital settings, or to help kids get the sensory input they need, the Beamz delivers an exciting approach to learning, all while building self-esteem and independence."
During the ATIA 2014 Orlando Conference, Beamz Interactive will demonstrate the new Beamz Education and Healthcare product line at the Technology for Education exhibit (Booth# 415). The Beamz interactive music system has become an important device people of all abilities because music is such an excellent vehicle to teach learning concepts and achieve developmental milestones. Not only can the interactive music system be used in therapy settings, Beamz is also an excellent device to use within the home to create experiences between those with disabilities and their family members.
"We are continuing to grow our collection of structured activities and are thrilled with the results we've seen as our existing activities have been put into action," said Mary Jo Barry, Beamz Senior Marketing Manager. "Beamz is being successfully used in schools, therapy and rehab facilities, in homes and in hospitals. At ATIA we are seeking out individuals and organizations working with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorders to collaborate with in the creation of customized content for this student segment."
Mary Jo Barry, added, "Not only is Beamz sponsoring ATIA's tradeshow bags, we will also be hosting an 'enter to win' contest for a free Beamz Education and Healthcare interactive music system, which will be given away during the conference on Friday afternoon. In addition, as per our previous announcements, Beamz will be showcasing our Beamz Family Play Guide, developed in conjunction with the National Lekotek Center."
The Beamz Family Play Guide is a tool designed to educate families on ways to address the development of cognitive, sensory, communication and emotional skills with the Beamz interactive music system.
