ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 4, 2014) - Greengro Technologies (
BP Gardens CEO and Director of Sustainability Projects, Rafael O. Quezada, has appointed Nancy Caruso to be on-site marine biologist and recirculating water farmer with Josh Graybiel providing design of the aquaponics and greenhouse systems. Ms. Caruso brings a wealth of experience with stints at Aquarium of the Pacific, the California CoastKeepers, Disney and others, in addition to multiple, ongoing educational aquaponics programs initiated in schools throughout Orange County. In her new role, she will oversee day to day operations of BP Gardens, Buena Park, and will be a key advisor to the second BP Gardens site location in Lincoln, CA. Mr. Graybiel's preparation and experience in aquaculture and development of efficient closed loop aquaponics systems will ensure high-yield crop production across all platforms. A water scientist and fish hatcheries expert, in addition to his aquaponics experience, Josh will play a key role in helping to develop parallel opportunities available to Greengro Technologies at Lincoln, CA, as well.
"I am excited to work with Nancy and Josh as we launch the first phases of production statewide. Their combined experience will guide our advanced aquaponics and zero waste production systems, growing vegetables and fruit, leafy greens, culinary herbs and gourmet fish for commercial and direct-to-consumer sales," states Mr. Quezada. "These projects have already generated strong interest from grocers, wholesalers, and restaurants in proximity to both production sites; they will set a precedent for introduction of absolutely pure and living foods grown within minutes travel distance of local consumers."
