ROLLING MEADOWS, IL--(Marketwired - Feb 5, 2014) - Innovation Group is pleased to announce the release of Quick-Est, a new tool which enables claimants to capture vehicle damage at the time of an accident without the assistance of an appraiser. The availability of Quick-Est will immediately increase claims processing efficiency while lowering costs and cycle times for Innovation Group's insurer clients.
Quick-Est was developed from the ground up to support insurers of all sizes looking to further enhance customer service during the claims cycle. Rather than waiting for appraisers, the solution enables claimants to take, upload and submit photos of accident damage via mobile devices. The submitted photos can then be used by the related insurer to produce an estimate, or, depending on the severity of the damage, to support a more in-depth triage process.
According to Nielsen, "Smartphone penetration grew from 56 percent at the start of 2013, to nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of U.S. mobile subscribers." The proliferation of smartphones and other mobile devices makes increased self-service capabilities, such as those offered through Quick-Est, a key differentiator for insurers. Consumers today are accustomed to using, and prepared to use, technology to speed the claims process, and Innovation Group designed Quick-Est specifically to leverage those capabilities.
"Customer service and mobile technologies are of paramount importance to insurers today," said Lewis Miller, CEO Business Process Services, Innovation Group. "By developing this self-service tool, Innovation Group enables customers to be proactive at a critical point in the claims process. The ability to provide information to insurers quickly and easily empowers customers and increases overall satisfaction with the claims process. Insurers utilizing Quick-Est no longer need to worry about building and developing proprietary, in-house solutions, and this saves both time and money."
Quick-Est kicks in at a point in the claims process when insurers email claimants a simple web link. This launches a browser window on a smartphone or tablet with instructions on processing accident photos. Customers then take photos of the damage following simple online instructions, and upload the photos directly to the insurer's claim center.
"Using Quick-Est improves the overall claims process and puts the customer in the driver's seat," said Miller. "Being browser-based, it works on any device with any operating system rather than having separate apps for Android, Apple, and others. It's one more way insurers can help get customers back behind the wheel faster and increase customer satisfaction."
Innovation Group's Innovation Insurer Services unites an extensive supply chain with industry-leading software to support customers while positively impacting total claims outcome, claims optimization, combined ratios, customer retention and reallocation of resources.
