SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 11, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Matrix Medical Network, a national leader in prospective health assessment services for Medicare Advantage (MA) plan members, has been named the "2014 Large Business of the Year" by the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce. The Matrix Contact Center was presented with the prestigious award at the Chamber's 92nd annual meeting on February 3 in Clearwater, Fla. More than 500 of Pinellas County's top business leaders and community members attended the event.
Matrix trumped five other finalists in Pinellas County for the award. To be eligible, companies had to have a minimum of $5 million in annual revenue and be in business for at least three years. The Business of the Year competition included a comprehensive written application and an onsite evaluation of the Contact Center from three independent judges.

Matrix opened its first Contact Center in Clearwater in 2012 to schedule licensed Nurse Practitioners to complete in-home clinical assessments nationally. To meet the increasing demands of MA health plans, the company opened its second Contact Center in June 2013, also in Clearwater. Matrix conducted more than 348,000 visits with Medicare Advantage members, many of whom might not have otherwise seen a clinician. Today, the Matrix Contact Center employs and supports the professional growth of more than 270 team members, and touches the lives of more than 2,000 Medicare Advantage plan members each and every day.
