Las Vegas Eye Surgery Practice Adds Experienced Ophthalmologist to Team

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - Feb 13, 2014) -  Dr Helga F. Pizio has recently announced the addition of Ilan Reizes, MD to its New Eyes Las Vegas eye care team. After graduating from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel, Dr. Reizes moved to the United States where he completed a residency in Ophthalmology in New York. He then continued with fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease at the renowned New England Medical Center - Tufts in Boston, MA. 

After his fellowship, Dr. Reizes founded Finger Lakes Eye Center, a well-regarded medical and surgical eye center in upstate New York. He is now bringing to New Eyes his expertise in the detection and treatment of many eye conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and other eye diseases that can potentially result in a severe vision loss.

According to the most recent CDC statistics available, diabetes is the leading cause of new cases of blindness in the United States among adults between the ages of 20 and 74. Dr. Reizes says early detection and treatment is critical to prevent permanent vision damage:
