NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kognitio, driving advanced analytics and data science through Supercomputing for Data Science™, today announced a leading analyst firm has ranked the Kognitio Analytical Platform as one of the world's top two data warehousing vendors from a technology perspective. It also reported that companies that have deployed Kognitio are the most satisfied with their choice, saying that Kognitio has what it called "the happiest customers."

The rankings, from European analyst The Information Difference, cite "customer satisfaction as measured by a survey of reference customers, analyst impression of the technology, maturity of the technology and breadth of technology in terms of its coverage against (The Information Difference's) functionality model."
The firm's "Data Warehouse Landscape - Q4 2013" rates nine top global vendors. The Kognitio technology scored above other market leaders in the report, exceeding vendors such as IBM, EMC/Greenplum, SAS, Oracle and Microsoft. The report also notes Kognitio's pioneering role in cloud-based data warehousing and business intelligence.

Millard also noted that the Landscape ranking revealed most of the companies surveyed are experiencing annual data growth of between 25 and 50 percent.
