SACRAMENTO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 26, 2014) - Government Technology announces the 2014 Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers.
This year's Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers includes a diverse group of agency leaders, elected officials and technology professionals, who are profiled in the March issue of Government Technology and on govtech.com. See the video here.
This year is being touted as "the year of the team," in which several groups were recognized for partnering to advance technology in the public sector.
"Never in the 12-year history of the GT Top 25 have we recognized so many groups of people in our annual salute to the public sector's Doers, Dreamers and Drivers," said Steve Towns, executive editor of Government Technology. "We think it represents a healthy trend toward multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional collaboration."
For example, the mayors of Kansas City, Kan., and Kansas City, Mo., collaborated to bring Google Fiber to both cities. Meanwhile in Virginia, a trio of technology leaders worked on a shared services platform to improve identity management and access control for various state government programs. Other notable partnerships include teams behind the launch of successful health insurance exchanges in Kentucky and California.
Since 2002, Government Technology has honored nearly 350 individuals who have transformed the public sector through the smart use of technology. We are proud to recognize this year's winners for their stellar accomplishments in moving government forward.
Congratulations to the 2014 Government Technology's Top 25 Doers, Dreamers & Drivers:
