CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - March 31, 2014) - Passengers who fly in the north will now be rewarded for their travel as Canadian North introduces its much-anticipated Aurora Rewards™ loyalty program.
Through Aurora Rewards, Canadian North passengers can now collect points each time they fly on Canadian North's scheduled flights. Points can be redeemed for everything from free flights to gift cards to uniquely northern items such as a subscription to the award-winning publication, Up Here, or fishing lures designed for the "big catch" in the North. With Aurora Rewards, the more you fly, the more you get.
"Canadian North's new Aurora Rewards program offers something for everyone, whether you are a frequent flyer for business or a leisure traveller who flies less often," explains Peter McCart, VP of Passenger Sales and Marketing at Canadian North.
Passengers will notice that Aurora Rewards allows them to earn rewards faster, according to Lisa Hicks, Manager of Loyalty Marketing at the airline. "Those who fly regularly only need to reach 12,000 points before they are eligible for a free flight on any of our short-haul routes. They will also be able to use their points at lower levels for gift cards and merchandise," she adds.
Aurora Rewards is the evolution of the existing Aurora Concierge top tier program that many Canadian North flyers will be familiar with. Current Aurora Concierge passengers will continue to enjoy all the perks they've come to appreciate, with the added bonus of collecting and redeeming Aurora Rewards Points.
The new program will include three tier levels: Aurora Concierge Silver, Gold and Diamond. Passengers will qualify for Aurora Concierge Silver status quickly - after just 12 flight segments, or approximately six round trips in a year. Aurora Concierge Diamond status is achieved by those who travel extensively with more than 30 flight segments in a year.
To kick off the new Aurora Rewards program, Canadian North is offering a special promotion. Passengers signing-up between March 31st and June 30th, will not only receive 200 bonus points just for enrolling, but will automatically be entered to win a prize of 100,000 Aurora Rewards Points. Plus, every time they fly on Canadian North, they will be entered again up until June 30th, 2014.
Passengers can sign up for Canadian North's new Aurora Rewards loyalty program by visiting aurorarewards.com or calling 1.800.661.1505.
