STATE COLLEGE, PA., April 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized EnergyCAP, Inc. with a 2014 National ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year - Sustained Excellence Award for their continued leadership in energy conservation. It is the company's fourth award in four years.
"EnergyCAP has earned EPA's highest ENERGY STAR award – the 2014 Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award – because of their unwavering commitment to helping consumers become increasingly more energy efficient," said EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe.
An ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year award winner since 2011, EnergyCAP will be specially honored for the company's long-term commitment to energy efficiency at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 29, 2014. Award winners are selected annually from the more than 16,000 organizations that participate in the ENERGY STAR program.
The only software publisher to achieve Partner of the Year status, EnergyCAP automates traditionally labor-intensive data collection and data entry processes, thus speeding the submittal process for ENERGY STAR ratings and certification. In the last 12 months, more than 10,000 properties have been benchmarked by ENERGY STAR through EnergyCAP's automated process.
"ENERGY STAR is an important part of what we do here at EnergyCAP," said CEO Steve Heinz. "We have thoroughly integrated ENERGY STAR into our product offerings, and look forward to our continuing relationship with the ENERGY STAR program."
