CALGARY, Alberta, April 16, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SMART Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq:SMT) (TSX:SMA), a leading provider of interactive displays and an innovator in collaborative education software, announces the SMART Board® 6065 interactive flat panel (IFP) for education. The first in a new line of SMART Board interactive flat panels, the 6065 IFP establishes a new benchmark for interactive displays with improved image quality and features that make the technology easier than ever to use. Measuring 65 inches (165 cm) on the diagonal, the SMART Board 6065 interactive flat panel offers ultra-HD 4K resolution, providing images that are crisp and bright for all students regardless of the angle of the display or the distance from it. A smooth, low-friction surface enables teachers and students to smoothly manipulate objects on the screen or write with great ease. The SMART Board 6065 supports up to four touches simultaneously and automatically detects the difference between a finger, pen and eraser meaning users don't have to interrupt the flow of a lesson to manually change modes. And with the Pen Identification feature, two users can work simultaneously and independently with different colored pens or distinct tools, ensuring that technology never interferes with pedagogy.
