FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - May 1, 2014) - Orangetheory® Fitness, the energizing and fast-growing fitness franchise, opens its 100th studio today in Jacksonville, Fla. A VIP grand opening event will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville-Mandarin studio, located at 11111 San Jose Blvd. Orangetheory Fitness will celebrate the milestone nationwide by giving away 100 ten-packs of workout sessions; one package at each studio. The month-long giveaway promotion begins May 15, and will also award one Facebook fan with a free ten-pack of workout sessions.
While members across the U.S., Canada and U.K. have enjoyed Orangetheory Fitness, the bright-orange fitness franchise opens its 100th location in the Sunshine State, where it all began. Orangetheory Fitness launched its first studio in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in March 2010, and has transformed into one of the world's top fitness franchises. The heart-rate monitored, high-intensity interval training concept has helped tens of thousands of members lose weight, get toned and meet their overall fitness goals in a short amount of time.
"We've come a long way in four years," said David Long, CEO of Orangetheory Fitness. "We set out to open a boutique location and build a good foundation for an effective workout backed by science, that we could grow and expand. Today, Orangetheory Fitness is one of the most notable wellness brands in the industry. We're very proud to open our 100th studio, and look forward to hundreds more."
The fitness franchise has a presence in 30 states and is on track to double its number of open studio locations within the next year. Long attributes Orangetheory's rapid growth to the unique and fun results-focused concept that offers convenience for members and a proven model for franchise owners.
More information on the 100 giveaways will be available May 15 at studios nationwide, and on Orangetheory's website and Facebook page.
About Orangetheory® Fitness
Orangetheory® Fitness (www.orangetheoryfitness.com) is a one-of-a-kind, group personal training workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), Orangetheory's heart-rate-monitored training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Led by skilled personal trainers, participants use a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, SBT Suspension Training and free weights, burning from 500 to 1000 calories per session. The result is the Orange Effect -- more energy, visible toning and extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours post-workout. Orangetheory Fitness has been recognized on Entrepreneur's 2014 Franchise 500® list of the top franchises in the world. Visit www.otffranchise.com for area developer and franchise opportunities.
