Clane LaCrosse, President and CEO of Bosque Systems, announced as a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year(TM) 2014, Southwest Region

Fort Worth, TX, May 9, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ernst and Young announced the finalists for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 in the Southwest Region. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. These business leaders were selected from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

Clane LaCrosse founded Bosque Systems in 2007 with his uncle, Ernst & Young Hall of Famer, Joe Mitchell. He keenly observed significant changes in the Barnett Shale where a robust gas production activity had created the need for additional Saltwater Disposal (SWD) capacity.  The company built its first SWD in Cresson, Texas in 2008.  Since then, Clane has been responsible for the continuous success Bosque Systems enjoys with prominent oil and gas well operators in the Barnett, Eagle Ford and Woodford Shales; Permian Basin; and the Bakken. The initial funding of the company relied on the belief that the industry would face environmental issues relating to water sourcing, treatment, storage, and disposal of produced water from the oilfield.

Bosque Systems is the largest independent water management company in the U.S. engaged in sourcing, gathering, storing, treating and delivery of frac-ready water to operators in five key markets. In 2010, its business was based solely within the saltwater disposal arena. Today, the company's treatment and recycling programs account for more than half of its revenue.  Bosque Systems is a major advocate of recycling flowback and produced water so that it may be used repetitively. Clane explains that "instead of using 100 barrels of water one time, we want to encourage operators to use one barrel 100 times."  Recycling flowback or produced water for hydraulic fracturing creates both technological and operational challenges.  Water flowing back from the wells could be unsuitable for direct reuse since it contains contaminants that may be incompatible with operators' frac packages. It may also include bacteria, Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), and scaling particles, which could potentially damage the wells.  Bosque Systems immediately recognized these challenges and developed patented technologies to reduce the environmental impact of the new types of production methods. The solutions-based focus of the company delivers turnkey answers to solve operators' fluid management needs from inception to completion.  The company's expert project management teams are able to design, engineer, and provide long-term and cost-effective models while implementing a safe water infrastructure.  In 2013, Bosque Systems safely managed almost 200 millions of barrels of water for its customers and is the number one chlorine dioxide service provider (DIONIXTM) in the U.S.

Clane holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he played college football, and an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Southern Methodist University. Today, Clane is recognized as a leading expert in the commercial disposal well, water treatment, and logistics industry. Clane and his wife, Rosana, reside in Dallas, TX., have been married for fourteen years and have four children.
