On May 12, 2014, at approximately 10:45 am, Vulcan RCMP Detachment officers were dispatched to an elementary school in the hamlet of Brant near Vulcan, Alberta to investigate what appears to be a parental abduction.
Officers were informed that the two sisters, Talisha and Taya Meisel would have snuck out of school and met with their biological mother, Trina Meisel.
Trina Meisel does not have legal guardianship of the children. Trina is blonde, 173 cm tall and weighs 86 kg with a heavy build.
It is believed the mother and daughters would be travelling in a 2007 black Honda CRV, Alberta licence ORNRSE.
Investigators do not believe the children are in immediate danger, however they believe they may have been taken to Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
To bring more awareness to this abduction, on Tuesday May 13, 2014 Vulcan RCMP requested that the Missing Children Society of Canada push additional information about Talisha and Taya through the Search Program, including MarketWired, World's Most Valuable Social Network™ and CodeSearch™.
