ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jun 2, 2014) - RapidFire Tools Inc., a world leader in non-invasive IT assessment tools, today announced that Mike Semel, one of the nation's leading HIPAA consultants, is presenting a session at the Datto Partner Conference, to be held at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The session, "How to Price and Sell a HIPAA Risk Assessment," is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on June 4, 2014. During this presentation, Semel will educate attendees on how to price and sell HIPAA Risk Analysis reports. These comprehensive reports are mandatory for any entities that deal with electronic healthcare records, including all business partners of healthcare companies that have access to these records.
Mike Semel is president of Semel Consulting and a renowned HIPAA authority, with 30 years of experience in the healthcare and IT fields. He is working with RapidFire Tools -- which recently released a new HIPAA Compliance tool for MSPs -- to educate the marketplace on the details and importance of HIPAA's risk assessment requirements. RapidFire Tools' Vice President of Sales Mark Winter, who presented a keynote session on network assessment at a recent ASCII Group Summit, will join Semel for the presentation.
"We're honored to participate in the Datto event, and to introduce this vendor's prestigious partners to the opportunity that HIPAA compliance assessments offer in today's marketplace," said Mike Mittel, president of RapidFire Tools. "The breadth of companies subject to HIPAA regulations is enormous. Aside from the healthcare entities themselves, many of the businesses that work with them, such as legal, accounting and other service firms, may not realize they, too, are covered by HIPAA regulations. RapidFire Tools has developed some unique solutions for automating these assessments, which is a daunting task for any company. We want to teach Datto's partner base how to best capitalize on this potential business."
RapidFire Tools Inc. is the developer of the Network Detective series of assessment tools, including the Network Assessment, Security Assessment, Exchange Assessment, SQL Server Assessment and HIPAA Compliance Assessment modules.
About Network Detective
Network Detective is the market's number one non-invasive IT assessment tool, used by thousands of service providers around the world. Unlike other solutions, Network Detective is able to acquire a vast amount of network data -- including assets, users, configurations, and vulnerabilities -- all without installing any software, probes, or agents. In addition to automatically pulling information quickly from anything attached to the network, data from individual "off line" devices can be captured in minutes, and automatically incorporated into the final reports. Once the scans are complete, the service provider can run the encrypted file through the Network Detective proprietary data analyzer and then select from dozens of powerful reports to generate. Network Detective's modules are each sold separately through annual subscriptions that allow for an unlimited number of scans on an unlimited number of networks to generate an unlimited number of reports. www.rapidfiretools.com.
